It's that time of year again—summer is near! While some areas of the country (New York City unfortunately included) are still battling chilly temps and torrential downpour, others have begun to embrace summer-like weather. This means—you guessed it—swimwear season is upon us. Whether you're off to the beach or soaking up some rays on your apartment rooftop, stylish bathing suits are a must. We're polling our staffers to see which swimsuits they plan on donning as soon as weather permits. From classic black bikinis to patterned one-pieces, we're providing suggestions for all your swimwear needs.

Gloria Bikini
This summer I intend on soaking up as much sun as possible to offset the past few months spent indoors. That said, I'm on the hunt for the perfect strapless bikini that won't leave behind those awkward tan lines. I've been seeing this Hunza G swimsuit just about everywhere, which leads me to believe it's the answer to my summer prayers.
Grenadins Recycled Fibre-Blend Bikini Top
Even though I likely won't see my Mediterranean summer dreams realized, I'm happy to play the part with a swimsuit from Fisch. Made from recycled materials regenerated from abandoned fishing nets, this swimwear brand offers stylish bikinis that practically beg for a chic getaway.
Saria Moonlight
This season I'm really trying not to buy another black bikini; alas, old habits die hard. In addition to having a soft spot for neutrals, I'm smitten by the classic silhouette of an underwire top and high-cut bottoms. There's no denying this suit will live in my wardrobe for years to come.

The Wrap Triangle
I love finding swimwear cut in classic silhouettes with one subtle interesting detail. In this case, I'm referring to the wraparound tie. I've also been drawn to a mid-rise cut for swimsuit bottoms—not too high, not too low. And in this simple olive shade, this will be my go-to style all summer. Just beware of tan lines!
Makumba Stripe Print Reversible Swimsuit
If I'm going to embrace color, it needs to be in muted hues and classic patterns. Enter this stylish Silvia Tcherassi number. I love the contrasting stripe and the way it meets along the center seam. The best part? It's reversible, which means two swimsuits for the price of one!
Blossom Bikini
For summer days when I want to have a bit more fun with my ensemble, I'll be opting for this subtly sparkly set from Oséree. I love the retro cut and plan on styling it with a pair of denim cut-offs and a linen button-down.

Cora Swimsuit in Light Blue
I just bought this suit in the pale blue color, and it's easily the most flattering swimwear I own. I'm going to be stocking up on the black and the pale pink when it restocks for sure. I tend to gravitate toward scrunch fabric, bright colors, and high-leg cuts that still provide decent coverage when shopping for swim, and this one-piece checks all the boxes!
The Arden Top Postcard Print
How fun is this retro postcard print? Solid & Striped never fails to deliver on creating the best color combos every summer, and this one screams "vacation." They also put out several matching cover-ups and accessories in the same print, and I can never resist a co-ord moment, so if you see somebody in head-to-toe pastel postcard print on the beaches of Long Island this summer, it's probably me!
Euphoria Top
I love that Dippin' Daisies offers multiple different cuts for each colorway at a price where I could actually see myself buying one bottom and a few different tops to swap out depending on the day. The Pacific color makes me happy, and I'm once again thankful for a bottom that provides just the right amount of coverage. Now I'm just trying to find a reason why I shouldn't also go for one of their glittery bikinis...

Symi Bikini Top
The square neck on this Denizeri two-piece caught my eye for how flattering it looks on people who are a little lacking in the chest department. For years I thought the only way I could achieve a flattering bust during swimsuit season was to exclusively buy bikini tops with built-in underwire support. Not anymore, though. I'll take comfort over the illusion of cleavage any day.
Bo in Mango
Tropic of C makes swimwear that I want to live in. The fabrics are so luxe and the colors so vibrant, it's hard not to add a new one to my shopping cart every time summer rolls around. This year I'll be hitting them up for this ribbed, adjustable one-piece in one of my favorite shades of yellow.
Ruffle Tube Top
I'm a big fan of swimwear that can also be worn as daywear, so Sherris swimsuits are at the top of my list for summer 2021. They're stretchy, colorful, and just playful enough to incorporate into my everyday wardrobe. What's better is that they're actually constructed for performance, so I don't have to worry about any embarrassing slippage at the beach.

Logo Patch Swimming Shorts
If you know me, you know I always gravitate towards anything in olive green. These are the perfect shade of deep green that hit mid-thigh with minimal branding and a thick waistband. I ordered a size up because they do run on the smaller side, since they are a European cut!
The Classic Mid-Length Swim Shorts
Every few years I find myself searching for the go-to black swimsuit—it's sort of like trying to find the perfect pair of black trousers, which can feel impossible. All the other black swimsuits I've come across always have some large contrasting logo that I cannot get past, but this year I stumbled upon this perfectly simple black suit with a black stitched logo that you can barely even notice.
Blue and Black Striped Swim Trunk
I felt like I was continuing to buy all solid swimsuits, so I wanted something a bit more interesting with a pattern of some sort. These trunks are beyond comfortable and dry super quickly, so these are absolutely perfect for the lazy summer days that roll into the night. I now own multiple suits from Bather because they are that comfortable.
