All hail the Biebs! Justin Bieber has claimed the biggest music video of 2016

Justin Bieber, London O2 concert, October 2016

The reign of Justin Bieber's Purpose era hasn't let up in 2016, despite the album now being over a year old.

Drake may have been the most streamed artist on Spotify but when it comes to music videos, Biebs has taken the crown.

Vevo released a bunch of stats for this year in music videos, which includes interesting tidbits like a 26% rise in watching music videos via the service in the last year, but what we're here for is the top ten.

Well, we've actually been provided with three top ten most-viewed video lists: one for the UK, one for America and one for the world - and Bieber has topped all lists with 'Sorry'.

Or 'Sorry (PURPOSE: The Movement)' as the marketing people want it called (not gonna happen).

Bieber also makes the UK and Worldwide top tens with 'What Do You Mean' and 'Love Yourself', but the former doesn't appear in the US top ten list because they just aren't as on trend as us here in Blighty.

Here are the top tens in full, and as you'll notice, the top five videos all managed to gain over a billion views this year, which is crazy.
