Taylor Swift and Harry Styles might have broken up in January after just three months of dating, but according to insiders the Red singer has only now forgiven her former One Direction boyfriend with the help of their mutual friend Ed Sheeran, a new report claims.
'Haylor' were the teen dream couple when they were briefly together at the end of 2012 but after their romance ended, reportedly following an explosive argument during a New Year break to the Caribbean, Swift was said to have held a grudge.
However, according to insiders, the I Knew You Were Trouble star has finally forgiven the curly- haired cutie and used their mutual friend Ed Sheeran, who is currently supporting Swift on her North American tour, to let him know.
“Harry was ready to move on months ago and try to remain friends, but Taylor hadn’t let go of what happened," a source told The Sun.
“Ed didn’t mention Harry for a while, but over the past few weeks Taylor started bringing him up.
“She made it clear that she didn’t want frostiness between her and Harry any more. She feels she has moved on to a better place — and Harry should know that."
Harry and Ed were spotted hanging out at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday night and according to the insider it was at the awards where they discussed the Taylor situation.
“The tension has thawed. Ed and Harry had a full catch-up at the Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles," the insider went on. “The next step will be Harry and Taylor meeting at an awards ceremony.”
The claims comes just a week ahead of the release of One Direction's 3D documentary movie This Is Us which reportedly doesn't feature the famous romance - something Swift was said to be pleased about.
“Taylor would have hated having the scandal on the big screen. But Harry never had any intention of doing that," the source added. “Taylor can see that now and it has helped them make up.”
