Any avid fan of Kenyan television series' recalls how Citizen TV's Tahidi High carried the day. Fans, pundits, critics loved the show and its stars.
Ted Kitana famously known as Mr. Kilunda, was one of the show's standout actors where he played the role of a typical no-nonsense teacher.
Kitana knew how to keep the audience glued. From his trademark ‘Kilunda look’ (that expression a teacher gives when he has caught a student committing an offence) to his interaction with the students, OJ (Dennis Mugo), Abel Mutua, and Shish, teachers like Miss Morgan, even with the subordinate staff like Omosh.
Well, a nosy fan of Edgar Obare went ahead to share a video of where Mr. Kilunda, the former actor of a local comedy show called Tahidi High, resides nowadays.
His real name is Ted Kitana and today, this person claimed that she had bumped into Kilunda while she was visiting her friend.
he problem was that she believed he was not living right as according to her, this was an apartment in Gataka, Kajiado County that was not very posh looking.
In her words she said that it was a place where a person like Mr. Kilunda was not expected to be living at. She shared a recording she had done of him and claimed that he did not at all look fine.
Her comment though was not received very well by other Kenyans. Many said that this is why so many celebrities were dying as there was so much pressure out here; pressure from their colleagues, and from society to be billionaires. In fact, many said that this was the reason why celebrities were dying of depression.
Many defended him saying that the creative industry did not pay as much as people thought and that as long as he was happy with where he was living, then there was no reason to judge him. Mr. Kilunda was last known to have a daughter and a wife.
Ted had initially started studying law before switching to plays and TV commercials after which he got into drama.
He is known to be a funny guy away from his acting job and he loves spending time out with friends.
He has experience in production after working for his relative's production company while living with them in Norway for two years
